University of Oulu joins the Network for Sustainability Studies to become one of the eight member universities
The Network for Sustainability Studies, originally founded by three universities in Finland, is expanding as four more universities join the network. The network allows students to access study modules focused on environment, sustainability, and responsibility that may not be offered at their own university. The expansion will broaden the study selection and increase versatility. Skills related to sustainable development are considered essential in future workplaces, according to the Finnish National Agency for Education. Applications for the network's studies will open twice a year, and students can choose courses based on their interests. The studies can be completed independently or incorporated into major or minor studies with proper coordination.
The network's website, www.kestavyysopinnot.fi, provides information about the available courses.
