The Warming Surfaces Company Ltd
Designed for use in interior surfaces, Halia™ digital warming surfaces help address the increasingly strict zero-emission criteria of buildings and improve health and well-being of people. The Warming Surfaces Company and partners showcase the world’s fastest response heating solution.
The Warming Surfaces Company Ltd., a Finnish company specializing in digital warming technology, has announced its first go-to-market partnerships with Surforma S.A., a manufacturer of high-pressure laminates, and Grupo Casais, a construction company. They have unveiled their first product concept, an intelligent warming wall, at the Interzum trade fair in Germany. The company's Halia™ digital warming surfaces technology offers thin and fast-response heating solutions, aiming to improve energy efficiency and the well-being of individuals.
The European Parliament's recent measures to increase building renovations to reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions further support the need for such solutions. The Halia™ technology can be integrated into building materials, such as laminate floors, doors, walls, furniture, and textiles, providing weight reduction, space savings, and design flexibility. The heating elements produce radiant warmth with low voltage, responding in real-time to individual needs.
Surforma and Grupo Casais express their enthusiasm for incorporating the Halia™ technology into their products to enhance sustainability and comfort. The first pilot installations are planned for autumn 2023, with product deliveries expected in 2024. The partners also plan to pilot the heated laminates in a hotel setting and explore additional use cases through further pilots.
