Tampere University included in Shanghai university ranking

Tampere University has secured a spot in the international Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), a renowned annual assessment of 2,500 universities, with the top 1,000 selected for ranking. This year, Tampere University achieved a position within the top 600 (places 501-600), excelling particularly in the category of scientific publications.
Seven Finnish universities were featured in the ranking, with Tampere University and the University of Oulu sharing the fifth or sixth place. The University of Helsinki emerged as the top performer among Finnish institutions, ranking in the range of 101-150.
The Shanghai ranking, originally launched by Jiao Tong University in the early 2000s, has been independently compiled by Shanghai Ranking Consultancy since 2009.
