Swedish AI Council Sets Vision for Enhanced AI Utilization in Municipalities

The AI Council, comprising representatives from 12 municipalities across Sweden, has proposed a set of initiatives to bolster the integration of artificial intelligence in local administrations. In partnership with AI Sweden and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions, the council aims to chart a unified strategy for AI in local governance, to exploit its full potential while managing associated challenges. The two primary goals include identifying AI applications and strategic needs in municipalities and crafting recommendations to speed up AI adoption in the municipal sector.
