Vuori's collection, which impressed the jury, explores the concept of the body as a subject and incorporates elements of embodied knowledge, liberation from the self, and the perception of personal space. The collection plays with contrasting materials and focuses on the manipulation of fabric by hand. Vuori describes her designs as "wearables" rather than garments, reflecting her complicated relationship with the fashion industry.
The jury for Näytös23 included French fashion designer Alice Bouleau, American stylist Akeem Smith, and curator Ilari Laamanen from New York. The showcased collections in the fashion show were commended for their professional quality, craftsmanship, and critical approach to the fashion industry's practices and material choices. Sustainability and challenging prevailing body norms were prominent themes among the student designers, with many incorporating recycled and reused materials in their collections.
