Researchers from MIT, Karolinska Institute, and KTH have discovered that our brains efficiently organize and manage tasks through a process called "spatial computing." The brain can drop or pick up information from different locations, allowing for quick adaptation without losing track of the main task. These findings could accelerate the development of AI with cognitive abilities similar to humans. However, the researchers caution that we should carefully consider the implications of human-like intelligence in machines.
