As part of this collaboration, Lund University offers a contract education course on innovation policy and innovation leadership, which is co-funded by AUDA-NEPAD and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The course, called "Innovation, Transformation and Resilience for Sustainable Development," is part of the African Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators Initiative (ASTII) project. The aim of ASTII is to promote the use of indicators related to research, technology, and innovation in planning and policy at national, regional, and continental levels in Africa. The participants of the course, selected through a rigorous process, gather in Lund to enhance their knowledge of innovation's role in sustainable development and to build a valuable network. Lund University benefits from this collaboration by gaining insights from participants' experiences and establishing contacts with their organizations. The visit by AUDA-NEPAD and Sida allows for further discussions and exchanges of ideas related to the course and ongoing cooperation efforts.
