The event was part of the COST-Action "Islamic Legacy: East, West, North, South of the Mediterranean (1350-1750)" and aimed to explore interactions between Scandinavian and Islamic cultures. Scholars from various disciplines examined entangled histories, mutual understanding, challenges, and positive aspects of embracing 'otherness.'
