The University of Gothenburg has inaugurated the Center for Disaster Medicine, a move that feels crucial given the escalating threats close to Sweden's borders. This new center succeeds the knowledge center in disaster medicine from 2019 and will focus on disaster medicine research and development related to total defense. Directed by Yohan Robinson, an associate professor and trauma surgeon, the center aims to advance disaster and military medicine academically. Yohan, with his rich background including service in the Armed Forces and diverse medical achievements, emphasizes the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in research.
