Unveiling Hybrid Intelligence Program:

The University of Oulu has initiated an interdisciplinary Hybrid Intelligence (HI) research program aimed at enhancing the interaction and collaborative learning between humans and AI. The program will be officially launched at the 2nd Arctic AI Days, running from October 31st to November 1st, 2023. The HI research, part of the Academy of Finland-funded Profi7 research initiative, seeks to meld human strengths with AI capabilities ethically and responsibly, with applications in sectors like education and healthcare.

A Human-Centric Approach:

The program explores the development and integration of affective computing, learning processes, and observational technology into AI-based solutions. It aims to widen the scope of hybrid intelligence applications into the metaverse, exploring its potential in enhancing human competence and interaction. With a focus on developing technologies that facilitate human-machine communication, the program also investigates how these interactions can improve learning, health, and overall quality of life.
