Bhat and other students had the opportunity to engage with Stora Enso's R&D directors, international employees, and sustainability experts during visits to the company's headquarters in Helsinki. The sessions were well-organized and facilitated meaningful discussions.
One of the highlights for Bhat was visiting Stora Enso's Sunila mill in Kotka, where they had the chance to learn about mill operations and products from the mill director. As someone interested in sustainable packaging, networking with one of the world's largest forestry companies and meeting new people was an invaluable experience for Bhat.
Stora Enso's participation in the programme for the second consecutive year reflects their commitment to attracting international talent and generating interest in the company. Discussions with the students proved to be positive and inspiring for Stora Enso's employees, who also benefited from learning from the students' perspectives.
The Aalto International Talent Programme, organized for the fourth time in 2023, aims to assist international students in expanding their networks and gaining knowledge about Finnish working life. Several companies, including Stora Enso, actively participated in the programme, providing students with valuable industry insights and networking opportunities.
